The society is run by a group of dedicated local volunteers.
The society aims to conserve and preserve the artifacts we have acquired by donation through research, interpretation and analysis. We exhibit the collections with the objective of presenting historic information and knowledge to the community through the sharing of the Otway story.
ODHS is funded by donations and membership fees and has received grants to assist with
enhancing and presenting the collection and local history knowledge to
the general public. There are always interesting projects being
undertaking by the group and new volunteers are always warmly welcomed, as are
new members. There are three history rooms and
knowledgeable volunteers on hand to assist you with your ancestral
research and general interest in the history of the Otways.
Open times: Tuesdays between
1.30pm and 4.00pm or by appointment.
